While cleaning up my computer files, I came across photos from our feature in Toronto Life Magazine’s Top 350. It was a major achievement at the time, during the magazine’s peak readership, and we were thrilled to receive this coverage alongside our fellow tenants, The Stop. Back then, we were running art classes in four languages—Japanese, French, Spanish, and English—and leading collaborative camps like Art & Science, Art & Dance, and Art & Music. We had the privilege of working with talented educators such as Brian Young (TDSB’s leader in science education), Music in The Barns, and In The Mix Dance. Reflecting on moments like these is important because it not only celebrates our progress and hard work but also reminds us of the impact we’ve made. It provides motivation to keep pushing forward and creating meaningful experiences.
