Illustration & Fine Drawing

Class Description: Our Illustration, Cartooning, and Fine Drawing class for kids aged 9 to 12 focuses on building strong foundational drawing skills while encouraging creativity, imagination, and personal expression. Young artists will explore a wide range of drawing techniques, from playful blind contour drawing games and observational sketching to technical drawing, shading, composition, perspective, and cartooning.
Students will experiment with materials such as graphite, charcoal, ink, colored pencils, and markers while learning how professional illustrators and cartoonists bring ideas to life. Lessons will include character design, facial expressions, comic storytelling, drawing from observation, and creating imaginative scenes from their own ideas. Students will also explore how cartoons, comics, and illustration can communicate emotion, humour, and narrative.
Through both guided technical exercises and open-ended creative projects, this class helps students strengthen fine drawing abilities, develop visual storytelling skills, and build confidence in their unique artistic voice. The supportive and engaging studio environment encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and a deeper passion for art and illustration.

Sundays: 8-12yrs • 1-2:30pm pm • 8 Weeks starts on Oct 8th

Art Combo

Mixed Media Art Class  8-12 yrs,  Wednesday 

Art Combo is a 2.5-hour creative journey through a wide range of art mediums, from pottery and sculpture to fine drawing, painting, printmaking, and more. Each class, young artists will find inspiration by exploring the work of great artists, learning about their ideas, concepts, materials, and techniques, and then using that inspiration as a jumping-off point for their own creative exploration. With an emphasis on open-ended, process-based art making, children will be encouraged to experiment, develop new skills, take creative risks, and discover their own artistic voice rather than simply recreating an example. Kids should bring a nut-free and fish-free snack and water bottle and come dressed for mess!

Day: Wednesday from 6-7:30pm 

Dates: October 7th thru November 25th

Duration: 8 week sessions

Fee: $350 + HST = $395.50

Friday Night Drop-Off | 5:30–9:00 PM

Friday Night Drop-Off gives parents a well-deserved break—whether that means a date night, dinner with friends, or simply a few quiet hours to relax—while the kids are safely tucked into our studio for an evening of creativity and fun! Kids will spend the evening making art, watching movies, socializing, and hanging out with old pals while making new friends. Open to children ages 6+, our Friday nights are designed to be relaxed, creative, and fun. Kids should come prepared with nut-, seed-, and fish-free snacks and a water bottle, dressed for mess. 

Fee: $50 + HST per child. Sibling discounts are available.
